Source transparency
Insurance filings (NAIC), auction residuals, OEM maintenance schedules, and verified owner submissions feed the same scoring model you see in the tool.
Quality gates
We reject 8.4% of incoming owner reports for missing invoices or abnormal variance. Anything questionable is held for human review before appearing in results.
Bias checks
Cost curves are normalized for mileage, region, and trim packages so premium trims do not skew mainstream comparisons.
Known limitations
Specialty performance models and fleets are excluded today. We surface any data gaps inline so you can weigh them before deciding.
